"Building Your Audience" involves filtering by Tags to define who will receive your broadcast message. This can include region, team, job title, skills, and more. You can create segments using "and" or "or" logic to further refine your audience. It's crucial to carefully choose your audience to ensure your message reaches the right people. This process helps tailor your communication to specific groups within your organization, ensuring that the right information goes to the right individuals.
1. Click "Define audience" or "Continue" to edit your audience after creating your "Broadcast"
💡: The number of recipients included in the Broadcast is counted live on screen. You should always check your audience before sending the broadcast.
⚠️: Team/Broadcast Admins - You will only see the teams you have permission to administer. To add teams, please reach out to your Global Admins to do so within the OurPeople system.
2. Click "Region" to filter by "Regions"
⚠️: Your Company might not use Regions and this filter will be empty.
3. Click "Team" to Filter by Teams. It is good to know that your Team names will be unique to your Company and could be Location, Department, Reports to, or others.

💡: Filtering by a person's role is an easy way to filter by Global/Team/Broadcast Admins, Cover Assigner/Sender, or App Users.
11. When Clicking on the "Search for" bar it will bring up all tags you are allowed to see based on your role in the system.
12. If a large number of tags are available, it is possible to use the "Search Tags" box to locate the desired tag.
13. You have a way to change your filter options from "Any of" these filters.
14. Or you can tell it to include "none of" these filters.
⚠️: To toggle between the two you would click on the phrase "any of" or "none of".
15. Click "Add segment" adding a "Segment".
💡: The audience criteria can be narrowed down even further by adding additional tags and/or segments.
16. When using Segments notice the "and" or "or" in between your filters.
When "and" is present it will combine the two filters to create your Audience.
You are telling the Audience builder for Example; that they need to belong to BOTH the "Team" and have this "Job title"
17. When "or" is present it will include the two Filters to create your audience.
You are telling the audience builder for example; That they need to belong to this "Person's Role" or part of this "Team"
18. Click "Remove segment" to remove the segment you added.
⚠️: Remove any segment not in use. If you add a segment and you DO NOT select a filter, it will send to your whole audience or potentially send to no one.
