The Web App Chat feature in OurPeople enables employees to engage in real-time conversations and collaborate with colleagues. People can participate in group chats and access topics designated by administrators. It provides a platform for sharing messages, files, images, and GIFs, improving communication and enhancing team interaction. People can also react to messages and enjoy a dynamic and interactive chat experience, helping streamline communication within the organization.
Steps to Web App Chat:

Open the Web App and click on "Chat" to access your chat messages.

You'll see a list of different chats you're a part of.

The teal circle indicates the number of members in each group chat or topic.

Click the "+" symbol to open a menu.

You can create a new chat or join a topic.

Topics may require permission from a Global Admin.

Click on the title of the chat, chat group, or topic for additional options.

In a topic, you can view members, leave, hide, delete, or mute notifications.

You can rejoin topics if you've left.

In a group chat, if you created it, you can "Edit group details" and change the name.

Leaving a group chat may prevent rejoining if all members have left, so be cautious.

You can upload images and files using the paperclip symbol.

You can drag and drop images and files or click "Browse to upload."

You can add GIFs to your chats. Clicking on "GIF" activates a search tool for GIPHY.

People can see the keyword you used to search.

You can send, shuffle for a new GIF, or cancel sending it.

You can react to messages. You have the option to copy and delete messages you've sent.
